I design in FreeShip too & would love to know how you arrive at your 'stability factor'.

: Finally with some help I saw that I had the numbers already, I was just
: looking at the diagrams wrong and was trying to calculate the wrong thing.
: I had it all the time and just didn't realize it. After figuring the
: numbers what I felt by the seat of the pants seems to line up with
: numbers, so I believe I finally have it!

: And now I see why the version of the Sea Ranger I built is so uncomfortable
: for me. It has a stability factor of only 52 and from what I read the K1
: racing boats are 48-50.

: Just excited to finally have figured that out and added it to my toolbox.
