Skinning, I am finding allot of different methods and lines to sew the skin on with. I am going to have the seam down the centerline. I have seen folding the edges down under a 1/8 inch line, the edges just layered across each other and both edges rolled under. I am using 7 oz nylon (this is for a kids kayak no heavy use). What method is best and what is necessary? I used synthetic sinew on the bindings, should I use this for sewing? I have seen references to nylon line, fishing line and non-waxed dental floss. Again what do you use?

I finished oiling the frame at 3 AM last night using teak oil, when should I start to skin? Some of the spots still seem damp.
