After a quick three week build, my son took his first paddle in his new kayak last weekend.

The kayak is a "kidarka" to a Tom Yost design. The scenery is the south east coast of Australia.

The design is a great size for an 8 year old 30kg boy. Secondary stability is great as you can see on a second photo.
