So here are some pictures of my Guillemot that still needs finishing touches.

I found enough time to pull it out, wash it off and take some photos...

The hull is WR cedar. The darkest wood is walnut. Used that for the shear line and around the cockpit.
The deck is mainly poplar.
On top of that is a veneer of quilted lace burl redwood. I was trying to decide what to add to my design when I saw scans of that veneer.. after that the flame job was a no brainer...

Still need to add bulkheads and a skeg.

I wanted to thank everyone that posts here. Without your help I would still have just a pile of strips in the garage. Also I wanted to curse you all for sucking me in and destroying the possibility of getting my other projects complete...
