: I vote doing it the skinboat school way. Has worked for me very well, with
: very straight seams and tight skins for 3 kayaks, so far.

: "This boat of yourīs is the reason why Iīm building a kayak. I hope mine
: will look half as good yourīs."
: Thanks, that makes me feel good. I'm sure your boat will look great!

: It doesn't take much oil paint to mix with the polyurethane. You will need to
: do it for several coats, depending on the color you want, so don't worry
: about getting it exactly the color you want with the first coat. I think
: the minimal amount of paint added, the better.

: Are you sure that the Coelan is going to go well over the polyurethane? I
: have not heard of doing this - but I know nothing about Coelan. Just
: wondering.

Hi
Canīt say that I know about coelan but what i read on www and a swedish kayakforum do the coelan stick to most surface.
It flex about 300% and it is poly or?

another link this is to a test: http://www.coelan.com/media/pdf/guest/boat/downloads/GB_Classic_Boat_March_2007.pdf

third link: http://www.coelan.com/media/pdf/guest/boat/downloads/GB_Brochure_COELAN_Boat_Coating.pdf

The advantage is the flex, maybe itīs unnecessary maybe itīs an revolution.

I will test 3 coats of zar and otop of that 1 coat of coelan, I will post the results longterm and shortterm.
