Strip: Cloth weight

I have some choices around glass cloth weights and I need some advice. All of the cloths I've been offered will wet out clear.
86, 165 and 200gm (in Ounces: 3, 5.8, 7)

I'm not intending to lurk around rocks or breaking surf, but will be taking on some steep swells.

My preference is for a light boat rather than a heavier one which can be bashed around. Along those lines, I'm thinking that the 86g (3oz) cloth will possibly be strong enough overall, and if doubled up around the cockpit floor, and deck areas affected by climbing in and out should offer enough extra strength in those areas?

Is 3oz cloth sufficient over the majority of the boat (inside and out)? Or should I be considering the 5.8 oz on the outside, and 3 oz on the inside?

Thanks for your thoughts!
