I have to say that you set a high standard of workmanship. I am proud of what i have made, but i would have loved it to be up to your mark. Well done.

Can i say in my own defense, that my SoF behaves just brilliantly. I did a 17 Km paddle today at a moving average of 7 kph. It was just gentle swell, passing ski boat wakes, and calm. I suspect that I am not going any faster in my SoF than my "old, dreadnought" fiber glass kayak that I had, but subjectively I am not working as hard to achieve my 6.5 or 7 kph averages that I did in the old machine.

: Thanks Dave I haven't paddled a SOF yet. The details are 17'4 by 20.5"
: it is a swede form hull shape with less rocker than the guillemot. I used
: a secondary chine from the foot brace beam back to round out the chines
: some. That should make the waterline beam about 20". I also have a
: Pax hybrid I built from CLC plans. It has a very narrow beam about
: 17" or 18" at the waterline. I am pleased with the weight about
: 32 LBS. I am looking forward to the launch.
