Go the the Chesapeake Light Craft web site. Find the plans for the Guillemot 'L', since it is an 18' kayak. Click on "Complete Kit". There is your list, including fiberglass. Also included is the MAS Epoxy #2 Economy Kit. I purchased the #2 Economy epoxy kit for my 17' Guillemot, and I believe the price is good. You can get most other incidentals at CLC: application tools, gloves, safety items, and microballoons (with use description). Also refer to Nick's book, page 45, for microballoons defined.

Since I like using S-glass, I purchased my fiberglass cloth (and a little graphite cloth) from Sweet Composites in Maryland. For a good understanding of fiberglass and other fabrics, go to Sweet's and read "Fiberglass 101". Other fabrics are discussed on their site.

Go to Laughing Loon Kayaks and read Rob Mack's article, "How-To Make a Transparent Glass Lay-up". Thanks Rob! It just makes sense to me.
