I found it! After Tom mentioned I need to ensure I get heat-activated glue, I search Google and found a shop here that sells rubber dinghies, and had a repair tutorial mentioning the glue.

A quick call and the friendly guy gave me the name of Bostick 1669 heat-activated polyeurethane glue, used in the footwear industry for glueing shoe soles on: they use it to repair holes in sea-going inflatable PVC dinghies.

Found a supplier around the corner from work, $51.50 for 4 litres.

So, Aussies, I'll try this stuff out this week and let you know how I go. Just call Bostik and they'll tell you who your local supplier is too. Comes in various sizes.

Yay! Now to decide if I finish the SOF fro the trip on Friday, or just take the (heavy) C17 for fishing...
