Why epoxy?

Why are you going to epoxy your paddle?

Of course, if you are fiberglassing it, then that's required, but if not, then putting epoxy on your paddle is entirely optional and serves no real purpose.

If you do fiberglass, or just paint epoxy, onto your paddle, be aware that you will then still have to varnish it, as epoxy is not resistant to UV. My apologies if you already knew this!
