Freeship allows you to import a text file that has contains the xyz locations of points that lie on the chines. There are rules... there must be an equal no. of points in each chine, the chines must start at the keelson & go upward, the points must be specified from stern to stem etc. but it does work.

I use this method many times to take a hull form I have drawn in my CAD system into freeship to analyse the h/statics, tweak the shape etc.
