If you're making multiple paddles, or don't mind making a cheap jig for one, a similiar method to mine could be used, just would need to make it "bent", at the same angle as the paddle. Then you clamp the jig to the bench and clamp the paddle to the jig. I've got one of the jigs in my garage now, one of the paddle carving students is a professional woodworker and decided to finish his paddle in his shop. So....I'll get pix this week.
