All the above was true for me also. I would wake up in the middle of the night, couldn't get back to sleep for thinking about the kayak and start working while listening to the radio. I was retired so I could do this. More then any other project, building a boat is like making a magic carpet transportation you created with your own hands and feel like its almost alive. I can't say that about a book case.
