: This is mostly just to share my build progress on my daughter's Sea Flea
: (just shy of) 11. It's been wicked fun and my daughter and I have gotten
: to spend some wonderful time together.

: I guess I do have a question about what seems like my next step of screwing,
: gluing and then pegging the frame together. Just to confirm - am I reading
: this correct..

: My next step is to screw the frame completely together first. Then, when
: ready to epoxy it, remove the screws, apply the glue and then screw it
: back together. After 12 hours, remove the screws. Then finally, drill out
: the holes and peg it.

: And, any thoughts on sizes/length/type of wood screw to use?

: Anyway, this was a mostly "brag" type of post. ;-) I'm incredibly
: happy with how it's turned out so far.

I use electrical wire ties except at the stems, then use HMW poly pads on the screw heads to minimize the chance of splitting the wood that close to the ends. Personally don't like the holes in the stringers since they are fairly small section already.
