I had set up just such a gallery on my web site for small wooden boats as I too saw the need, but the amount of spam and users that signed up who just wanted to link to inappropriate sites and links that were not at all related to wooden boats caused me to shut the thing down for the general public. I would get at least 20 people a day that I had to delete and they just kept coming. They use bots to automatically register.

But if someone wanted to use the site I would gladly set up an account for them so that they could access the site. I have quite a few users who have photos of their boats in all stages of construction.
