: I have a craftsman router, but looking at the manual on this page:
: it appears that they adjust the same way. The is composed of two major parts:
: a cylindrical motor and a housing which includes the baseplate, handles,
: etc. There is a large lever that pinches the housing to the motor. If you
: unlock that lever, you can make coarse height adjustments by sliding the
: motor up and down. This should get you 95% of the way there. once you lock
: it down, you can use the height adjustment knob to fine-tune the height.

Hey James,

thanks for the response. after a closer inspection of the homedepot.ca and homedepot.com...and the item i've purchased i realize that they aren't showing the correct picture on the Canadian website. The Canadian homedepot site shows a photo of the R163RTA model, but they are selling the R162RTA model (i'm guessing this is an older one). The manual for the router you linked to is the one i'm looking at getting now...it's the R163RTA model (that doesn't come in a combo kit here in Canada).
Thanks for all the tips and time!

Adrian
