In Finland most used connections are dsl/cable with minimum 1M/512 speed for around 25-30 eur/month. I think the max speed is 24M.

Many also use 3G (384/384 at lowest) it's cheaper, about 10 euros/month and you'll surf ok with that speed. You can get 3g speeds up to 5M. I think about 90% of Finnish people have 3G coverage.

Peoples in university campus or such can have much faster connections, 100/10 or so.
