Skin-on-Frame: Yost framing and cockpit sizing *LINK*

Finalizing the last few details on my new boat. This morning I was took a scrap piece of wood and clamped it at 12" high and tried to see how much length I need to in and out of the cockpit. I settled on 30 inch cockpit.

As I was altering my plans something come to mind. With a Yost style framing one of the frames is right under the front of the coming. Looks to me that in effect that frame will lower the height of the coaming by an inch to inch and half. Without doing another mock up I was thinking about just moving that frame/lengthening the coaming 2" forward. Anyone run into this or have a suggestion?
