I had the same problem with another hatch not the one in the photo. I was able to fix every thing with hooks like the picture. First I got the profile cut the hooks and checked the fit . I used my belt sander to shape the profile just slightly less than the hatch profile. Then roughed the lid with 60 grit and used thickened epoxy and clamps. when all was set up the fit was dead on. I did use 2 layers of glass on the under side. Good luck with it.
