Skin-on-Frame: temp skin choice

I'm working on my bizarre catamaran SOF and think I want to test it with a temporary plastic skin before using the nylon & goop I bought from skinboats. I found 'Visqueen' at McMaster-Carr, .004" thick in a 10' by 25' roll for $10.17 (item 8553K813) - just wondering if anyone thinks this is a good or bad idea, or if there is something else that is much better to use.
