Actually Etienne, that is EXACTLY what he intends to do, and it is how Mark Rogers (The Hawk designer) advocates building his Arctic Hawks in the 450 page instructional manual. You flat glass almost all the panels and pieces before stitching them together, then put them together and apply the fill coats of epoxy. I know it's a bit abnormal, but it actually works quite well and gives a great finish. Also reduces the amount of bubbles etc. On 6mm or stiffer it might prove to inhibit bending, but on 3mm and 4mm it really doesn't keep it from getting bent to the intended shape. Another benefit is that it protects the wood right away, reducing the chances of wood dings, sanding through the plys, etc. Not that I have ever committed such sins, oh...well...maybe just a few times. :)
