I know with our 2004 Toyota Sienna mini-van without any kayaks we average about 28 mpg on the highway. With one Black Pearl mounted flat on foam racks we got 27. We delivered one other one once in January and got 24, but it was in the winter in NH. With two Guillemot-like boats on vertical racks we get the same 27. Yup, 27 mpg for two adults, two kids, two dogs and two kayaks... no bad for a 4200 pound vehicle with a V6.
