: Dyes can make wood look really nice. It's a good detail. I did some tests on
: fade resistance with TransTint dyes last summer, and I posted the results
: on the forum a while back. There should be some good information for you
: there. You can get an idea of the colors available on the Homestead
: Finishes web site. They have samples of all of their colors on curly
: maple. You may want to consider using an alcohol-based dye, though, so
: that it doesn't raise the grain.
