Strip: cypress

Hey guys. I have an alternative to building with cedar strips. I have been using cypress strips for the last 5 boats. I live in the south. I have a great mill that I get my cypress from. It is a fact that the average cypress board weighs more than WRC. However all boards are different. I sort through them tediously and I am able to find very light boards. So using cypress my boats only differ from cedar by a few lbs. If anyone here is interested in some more info about cypress email me or reply to this post. Also, for those of you worried about cutting down old growth cypress, its all at least second growth. And in Florida its sustainable. Its not like Louisiana.
