I am looking for a kayak to build for winter indoor pool use. I would like to try my hand at a SOF and use it for learning Greenland paddling/rolling techniques. It would need to stand up to chlorinated water, although it will also see some fresh water use during the summer months.
I am 5'8" female, 160# and athletic. I paddle my Huki surfski in the summer and have built four S and G kayaks; ready to tackle my first stripper kayak this summer. Of course, I am already looking forward to the next one!
The SOF will need to be lightweight (hope that this is not an oxymoron) so that I can cartop it easily, and I would really like one that is easy to roll since my roll is not yet bombproof, and I plan to use this kayak strictly for learning rolls and sculling, etc.
