If you dig around on the builder's links there's a guy that did a seat with a patterned material that looked cool. You'd put it under the glass btw. Only way to be sure that it'll work is to make a test piece. There are all sorts of finishes of material, some will work with epoxy and some won't. Since it's not structural, there's no testing done, have to do it yourself.
