The strength and integrity of your finished laminations is only as good as the strength and integrity of your weakest layer. If you have paper in there the sandwich will be only as good as the quality of the paper.
I don't think any knowlwdgeable boatbuilder would go that route.

: Im planning on building a cold molded hull but i have difficulties finding
: the veneers. It seems that all the "lower cost" veneers i can
: find are paper backed, if i want raw veneers ill end to have to order it
: and in a big quantity compared to what i need plus wait for it to be
: shipped to the store or paying the shipping myself for an immediate
: delivery.... all considered some paperbacked veneers would cost me almost
: half the price of raw.
: Would the paper back be a problem when it comes to delamination? Anyone knows
: which adhesives they use to manufacture them?
: Id try a test by myself if i could get a little piece of the material but i
: dont want to get a whole sheet that i might have no use for just to cut a
: corner off
