Hi Etienne,
I ducked. My bike's a 125cc and I would have gone backwards heading toward Baltimore to have a good view from Spain tower. I stayed at the house for the worst of it.
I did take my trike out for a look from the hill at Lough Ine, with three wheels and my butt about 7 inches above the road, it doesn't flip in any severe gusts. My head height is lower than a MGB driver's.
Nearly came down the fast way, when the wind picked up again.

The spray from some of the waves breaking on the Stagg's Rock topped the rock.

The Lough itself was hairy looking, not much waves as it's very sheltered, but there were wind acceleration zones wandering all over the lake.

The main waves ran parallel to the coast here, so few if any of those pipes on that photo happen, but you can get some really long runs on some of the green rollers trundling past. You have to time it right for sprinting to catch one, but at least you don't get pounded if you fluff it. You just feel the world drop beneath you as the wave leaves you behind.
The baidarka is good fun for this. Possibly part of what/why of its design, Why waste energy paddling if we can get the water to work for us. And What the heck, it's fun.
