Regular old paint thinner (mineral spirits) will work. Tear off some paper towel the size of the sticky area, soak with the thinner, and apply to the area. Let it sit for 15 minutes and wipe off with a clean paper towel.

: My S&G is nearly finished. I managed to get some sticky duck tape residue on
: the recently painted (2 days ago) Brightside, 1 pac ennamel paint. A bit
: dismayed as I tested some of the water based 'goop off' on a hidden
: section of same paint and it took off the gloss from the Brightside. The
: goop off directions say 'use on cured oil based paint'. Maybe it needs to
: cure a bit more before trying the residue removal.

: Anyone have any ideas on how to keep the gloss but remove the sticky stuff.

: Darn the guys are gunna check it out too, this weekend!
