: I know that in the past several people have recommended Minwax Spar Varnish.
: My local hardware store has a good price right now on Minwax Spar Urethane
: Indoor/Outdoor (with UV inhibitors). Does anyone have an opinion either
: for or against this product for a cedar strip boat? Thanks.

I've used it for 8 years now and no problems. I just put on three coats on a walnut project for the sail kayak in one day, sanding between coats and in 15 degree weather. Cheap and no shipping when bought anyplace locally.
