Fitting the last few strips on a couple of Mr. Schade's Guillemots in the basement. As I tackle my inlays, starting to think more seriously about outfitting the cockpits , cargo holds and such. Have a few (trying to limit myself) issues I'd love to have some advise on from those with similar quandaries or experiences.

1. I like the idea of utilizing some type of bulkhead that will provide some degree of elasticity, however I hate sacrificing six inches of prime cargo space to the 3" foam panels.
2. Thinking it might be nice to have a surface 'kinder' than the glass/epoxy finish were the heel meets the floor for the many occasions when going barefoot (yes, wimpy... I know), yet tough enough to deal with a shoe heel digging in. Would prefer something attached and permanent, as opposed to a loose floor mat.
3. Liking the looks of Redfish's 'Custom seat'. Generally a tight-wad in most respects, I've learned over many years of bicycling, if nothing else, comfort at point-of-contact is everything. No problem with this investment. Just wondering if I can forego installing thigh braces in light of this seats sides, or not (eliminating to couple hours (2 boats) installing the braces would help me justify the seat cost!)? I know I can contact Redfish, just thought someone here might know.

Anyone come up with any other materials worth considering, or from experience can say what 'not' to consider? Appreciate any and all advice.

Thanks,
Todd
