Skin-on-Frame: how, what and how long

Now that I have finished Carol’s kayak I have been looking at Skin on frame kayaks. Before I start I have a couple of questions. First, is there a good book on building? Hopefully as helpful as Nick’s book .Second, are plans available? And what am I getting into? How difficult are they to build and how many hours are involved?
Give me a little spare time and I try to fill it. I must be a mental case. I spent about a year completing two Guillemots. Still looking at the King or a Night Heron. Both are great looking boats.
