For the last 3 weeks I have been paddling an old fiberglass Valley Skerray with an ocean cockpit. I find this kayak to be very comfortable and fairly fast with solid secondary stability. Having only a couple seasons experiance I am curious what the folks who have seen this design go in and out of popularity have to say about it`s pros and cons. I am 5ft 10" 210 lbs , the two boats I have been the most comfortable in are Nick`s Stick & glue NH and this Skerray. Besides the foot room I`m trying to zero in on why I feel so much more solid and confident in these two boats which have a 3 inch beam differance.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.
