Other: two yaks on a skinny roof rack????

I am nearing completion of my Merganser 16 (a few coats of varnish and some rigging to go)of 21 inch beam. I completed a west river 162 earlier this year(24 inch beam).

I have a subaru Imprezza sedan fitted with roof racks. The racks are 32 inches wide with a spacing of 24 inches. I have fitted a tow bar to the vehicle and am open to the idea of using a T style fitting to add an extra bar to the end of the car.

I can easily cartop a single boat right side up but will be unable to fit them side by side on the current racks. The boats are about a foot longer than the vehicle.

Any suggestions would be welcome.
