Material: Varnishing In Humid Conditions?

We were in the longest dry spell I can remember, but when it got to the point of me being ready to varnish the humidity levels have jumped and we are getting thunderstorms all over the place.

My question is, will humidity reduce the quality of my varnish finish if I apply it in the current conditions? Humidity has been from 20 to 95% in the last 72 hours and temperatures of up to 38 degrees C. It has cooled off to 22 degrees thismorning and is still at 85% humidity.

I found a lot of references on the board to humidity and epoxy work but not much on varnish.
