: If you have a dive shop nearby, get some Aquaseal Silicone grease. It's
: basically food grade silicone used to lubricate o-rings and the like. It
: comes in a little quarter sized snap top container. A little dab will do
: ya right. I've used the stuff for years with no problems. Salt water,
: fresh water, gear sitting wet for days, it just kept out the moisture and
: air. No oxidation, only when I forgot to renew after cleaning.

If you don't have a dive shop handy I bought some at Home Depot in the plumbing dept. Use it on drinking water stuff, most likely the same stuff, comes in the same kind of case but a little bigger.A friend uses it on pvc fittings that needs to break apart on his salt water fish tank, good stuff.
