Strip: edges between strips

Hi
This is my first posting, but i've been following the board for a few years.
I'm making a Guillemot 18 (from the book) and started last summer. I had to put it away for the winter, with only the outside of the deck and hull epoxied(and gf'd). The boat was stored with 4 forms inside and strapped together BUT; I can now feel (and see) some of the edges between strips. The deck is all fine but on the hull there are some around the chine, on the bow and aft, I've been using straight edge strips which may have contributed to the problem. I may live with it because its not dramatic, but I can see myself get in trouble when sanding and varnishing in those areas.
Possible solution?: sand down through the glass and round off the areas, put on a new gf-patch and risk getting a difference in colour and a thin woodcore.
Or ??
BTW I live in Norway and the wood I've used is Nordic spruce and alder(?). Richard Kohlstrøm explained in a earlier posting.
I'm now working on the cockpit-rim and is about to start on the inside.
