IMy first home built kayak was a Cape Charles by Chris Kulczycki since then I've built a Panache,Gillmont and am starting a Merganser hybrid. After using the Cape Charles for years with a rudder I have decided it slows me down to much compared to the other boats. The problem is the tracting. It turns on a lean well but its not much fun to have to lean all the time well trying to go straight. I'm wondering if anyone has had the same problem and do you think it can be fixed with a keel added to the bottom?
