I managed to slip in between torrential downpours today to get my Great Auk in the waters of the Willamette River today. She is stable, responsive and tracks well. I can't wait to get the seat in and really put it through its paces. One benefit of the rain was that I got to check the seals on my hatches. 10 miles of driving in the rain and 30 minutes of paddling and both compartments stayed bone dry. A real testament to Ross Leidy's hatch rigging design.
