Strip: Soft loops slot cutting jig *Pic*

This is the simple jig I built to cut slots for soft loop webbing deck holddowns. It is made of plexiglass with a frame of plexiglass to lift it off the deck. (The waste material needs somewhere to go) I originally thought that I could hold in in place with straps (hence the four slots around the outside) but changed to double faced tape instead. Using a plunge router with a collar and a straight bit (3/16"), just tape the jig where you want the slot, place the router collar into the slot, start up the router, and plunge away. Clean and square up with a file. The tape needs to be replaced every 3 slots or so. Hope this helps
