: I bought one and didn't like it. It was too thick and it didn't fit my tush.
: I thought of taking the wings off but that wouldn"t fix the fit,

The weird part about it is that profit from it's sale is more than a 2'x2' chunk of minicell so there's a tendency for retailers to sell it right and left regardless of it's utility. "this seat isn't comfortable",,,"here buy this one". It's so small where a person actually needs SUPPORT that the only place it seems to work is a small butt or a curved hull. The "wings" are so specific to some kind of width of kayak and bracing but I've yet to see where it's indented wings with those hip hooks could actually work for the average sized person in the average sized coaming. I mean those wings are shaped like replacable hip braces should be shaped,,,but sitting vertically it really is for a 26-28" hips,,once you flare the wings out for the average butt to fit the hip brace shaped wings are so flared out that they will never sit above the hip bones,,,which the is the whole reason for that shape.
