I love my new boat. It is really going to take some practice to get used to the way it behaves. It is ultra manuverable and very fast. Initial stability is not near what I expected but is not tender by any stretch of the imagination.Secondary is dory like.It will lean way out there. The quick and responsive handling of this thing makes you feel like you are riding ON the water and not IN it.A 22' slalom boat? Since this was my first time in a skin on frame, I got the willys when everything started moving around in the waves. They were smalltime but they got things moving none the less. It was a thrilling experience.I am sure that I am experiencing a large case of builders' bias, but I am sure there has to be a place for these types in modern recrational paddling. Mabye...
This is just my test skin. Four mil plastic sheeting and duct tape all covred in what is basically saran wrap from U-haul (which works great). Can I expect any major performance differences with the permanant skin?
