Now that I have your attention...
If someone wants to coordinate one, (not me this time!*), I read a post on Paddlewise that West Marine will sell handhelds at the wholesale price if you order in units of 6 (6, 12, 18, 24).
Would be easy for a club to do a group order of 6.
