Sorry about the confusion as to what type of boat I'm building. I wasn't sure exactly how to classify my inquiry, as it pertained to outfitting. Also, comfortable seating is something common to all types of kayak construction, and not being particular about construction technique, I decided to classify the infquiry as "other".
Thank you for your advise, and I will be sure to post my results so all might benefit from my "experiment", whether or not I am successful in attaining the comfort level I seek. However, the "butt-sling" idea sure has some interesting marketing potential.
