Strip: Uh-Oh!!!

Hi all,

I may have a problem. I am building a Guillemot with 5/8" b&c strips. I was checking my progress on the hull (9 strips covering 4.75" on both sides). It seems I will need another 35 or 36 full length(18'+/-) strips (total) to finish the hull. This appears to be just over half what I have left as I am using 8' lengths.

The problem is: Do I have enough strips to do the Deck as well? My inital estimates said I should have had 3 or 4 extra 18's over all.

How many full length strips would I need on the deck to get to the cockpit from the shear? It's hard to fool with the deck when it's upside down. Once I get to the cockpit I can get away with strips 8' or less long.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Andrew
