To All,

Since all of the Denver area lakes are frozen, I drove 100 miles south to
Lake Pueblo State Park to test the Combi-Single Folder. The weather
was 65 deg, no wind, and sunny. In a word…..perfect !

For a low volume design, it performed very well. Fast, good tracking, quick
turning, and stable. Not too shabby for a kayak that is actually the
by-product of the Combi-Double. I'll skin the double this weekend and be back
on the water next week.

On the drive home, it occurred to me that in the past year I've designed,
built, and paddled 5 new designs, with four of them being folders. The count
will reach 6 next week if the Double can be counted as a separate kayak.

My next project is an aluminum rendition of the 1926 Pawlata-Aijuk folding
kayak, to be followed closely by an all out performance "Gronland Faltboot".

It's always a great thrill to paddle a kayak you've built yourself, but to
paddle one you've designed, is simply over the top !

Do I love retirement or what !
