S&G: Cirrus Plan alignment

Hey All,

I'm aligning the paper plans on my 2'x 18' plywood sheets for the Cirrus I'm building. My question is really applicable to all S&G construction.

Does it matter at all how close the short seam ( 2' section) is to the end of the bow or stern? I can place this seam anywhere between 6" and 18" from the bow or stern on "hull plate 1" (keel). I will have less mobility on hull plate 2 but will still have some. How close to perpendicular should the seam be?

I also plan on alternating the short seam end for end on hull plate two...the seam will be on the bow of the keel plates and at the stern of the hull side plates. Does this make sense?

Best, Dave
