I remember your original post, especially the picture (cool boat). I had not been following the BBS long at that point. I recall wondering if you using the cheaper stuff would come back to haunt you. I hope not, I just bought some cheep varathane this weekend for my kayak.

I know of a few people that have not sanded between coats, when applying with rags. I'd really like to not have to sand between coats, but am worried that it will not produce the same type of chemical bond that Epoxy does. have you had any flaking of the varnish off, that occured between varnish layers?

The aproach used by yourself, Derek (the first person I saw use it) and others, is the one I'd really like to use. I'm going to, but would appreciate some input as to how well it has stood the test of time (for one whole year now right?)
