: I suppose I might have mentioned that I made new forward bulkheads that fit
: immediately in front of the rails (why interior waste space?). So the
: forward foot brace blocks butt up against them, and ought to make the
: mounts perfectly stout. I also intend to fillet them well with wood flour
: dookie-schmutz.
: The part I liked best about this arrangement is that the rails are flush to
: the inside of the hull, as opposed to the "stand-off" created by
: the tee-nut-in-a-block approach.

Having the bottom of the rails bear against the hull will eliminate a lot of flex felt at the brace peddle. Other builders have done the tee-nut method on full length supports but your method acheives full suppots with less material. Looks like a better idea.
