Hi all
Well it has only taken 2 years of on and off work but it finally got it's bum wet.
It's not quite finished as it still needs the deck varnishing and there are no lines or hatches fitted and the coaming lip is not actually epoxied on yet.
The hull is sheathed in fibreglass inside and out and the deck is sheathed on the outside so it should be nice and strong if a little heavy.
I only had a quick paddle on one of the bays on Sydney harbour and I was very pleased with the way it handled but I will leave a full review of it's performance until I have had a longer paddle in it.
I would like to thank everyone for their help and all the great information.
I would especially like to thank Grant Goltz for publishing the design for the Cormorant and the information to build it.
It is a good design and nice and stable for someone who has not had much experience in kayaks.
Is Grant still around as I have heard little from him lately.
